'Icons' (2013)

This series was based on iconic imagery of celebrities in various films or as themselves, as seen in the media. The canvases' intricate backgrounds are made up of a variety of faces of icons from various decades. The faded nature of these images and overlapping is an intentional action to represent the fickle nature of the celebrity world, and to represent the reality that there are plenty of upcoming stars to take the place of current icons.
